Yarrah, a market leader in organic dog and cat food from Harderwijk, has been thriving since 1992. However, their WooCommerce websites faced significant challenges: instability, security vulnerabilities, and visible error messages that affected user trust. Yarrah turned to Vogel & Katz for a transformative solution.

With operations spanning five countries, Yarrah had its own website managed by a less reliable agency that resulted in strong vendor lock-in.

Recognizing the urgency, V&K swiftly analyzed the entire ecosystem and collaborated with our in-house system administrators to identify and resolve server overload issues. We then migrated Yarrah’s websites to an independent, stable hosting provider, restoring their autonomy and enhancing website performance.

Building on our successful initial take-over, Yarrah sought deeper insights into their data to drive strategic decisions. We developed a comprehensive dashboard that consolidated key KPI’s across all five websites, highlighting areas with the highest profit potential. Our ad-hoc cooperation developed into the next level. Recognizing the inconsistencies among the individual sites, we unified them under a single, multilingual domain (yarrah.com). V&K ensured that the best elements of each site were preserved, developed missing content, and established a stable WooCommerce environment. We also tackled the challenge of multi-currency support, enabling Yarrah to operate seamlessly across different markets. Based on this succes we were requested to extend our services to other brands of Yarrah.

Pet shops were Yarrah’s primary sales channel, but they aimed to boost their own online sales. With a stable, multilingual WooCommerce website, we implemented multiple integrations between WooCommerce and Yarrah’s back-office software. 

Additionally, V&K set up automated communications with various fulfillment partners around the world, ensuring efficient order processing and logistics management across different countries.

To complement their enhanced website, we structured Yarrah’s advertising efforts on major marketplaces like Bol, Amazon, and Google Shopping. By automating the export and standardization of product information, Yarrah could efficiently manage and purchase advertisements. Additionally, we implemented data-driven strategies to optimize ad placements and budget allocations, ensuring maximum return on investment. This comprehensive approach allowed Yarrah to target their ideal customers more effectively and scale their advertising campaigns seamlessly.
